Every president during my lifetime has, from the moment of secured nomination, been insulated from the presence of any armed citizens, save the few who have sworn an oath to protect him. And that insulation is maintained from that moment forward.
Even those who do advocate the carrying of arms that do come into his presence are forcibly disarmed before coming within a city block of him.
One wonders what such insulation does to the attitude of one subject to it.
Name any other special interest, any other creator granted right, and imagine it's active use forbidden by any but the designated few within the presence of the president. How would such things affect their outlook, and decisions?
