The Grunt's Grimoires

Picture
Art by True Edge Art

A world of magic, mystery, and weaponry
not unlike our own.

Magic is real.

Don't look at me like that.

Not only is magic real, I guarantee you that you've been there when it happened.
Something seen out of the corner of your eye that vanished when you looked right at it?
A shiver down your spine?
Feeling that you're being watched when nobody's around?
Seen a shortcut or side road at night that you just plain know you shouldn't use yourself?

All of it, bits of magic strewn around the world.

And there are those out there that know how to use it.
For all you know, you went to high school with a wizard and a witch works down the hall from you.
Don't worry. Most of them are at least trying to look out for you.

Unfortunately, what you don't know can in fact eat you when you step outside your front door.

Fortunately, the magi among you have a habit of guiding humanity by the page.
Some will tell you how to stay alive.
Some will tell you how to mind your manners.
Some will tell you how to thrive.

And the really good ones will tell you all of the above.

One in particular, fairly new on the scene, is much more down to earth than most. He's got the education and the skill sets to walk his own path. But he takes particular pride in the time he spent being just another infantryman.

So if you're looking to navigate the Otherworld, it would behoove you to look for...

The Grunt's Grimoire.

Novels

Current novels in the series are:

Renfield Blues: The First Grunt's Grimoire

Blessed be and pass the ammunition.

Yesterday (or possibly last year, details are kinda fuzzy), blue-collar mage Travis Wayland was fulfilling his oath to the vampire lord of Atlanta.
Now he's got missing memories, vampire blood on his breath, and half the supernatural folk in Georgia trying to kill him.
On the plus side, he's got a flirty elf watching his back and a cranky ex-sacrifice looking for answers at his side.
He's gonna need every magic trick he knows and favor he can call in,
because the next day or so determines if he lives free or dies!
