The news is going nuts over GA's "sweeping gun legislation" from last night. "Sweeping" in this case defined as "those bloodthirsty psychos got something they wanted! Whatever shall we do? Alas! Alack!"

HB 60 only really accomplished 3 things:
-allowed hunters who had them to use supressors. Ok.
- allowed concealed carry in bars. Drinking while carrying is still a crime, making this part of the bill a "No reason your DD can't carry" provision.
- maintained a ban on carry in churches unless they specifically opted in (most businesses have to opt out, posting signs to that effect).
I can't say I'm thrilled there, as it prevents churches from employing an "out of sight, out of mind, By the time we see anything the crap's already hit the turbine" position. It forces them to openly accept instead of passively accept. Not what I'd call a good precedent to set.
Anyway, that's it. Campus carry didn't pass (dammit) and was barely brought up. No changes I've seen to Stand your Ground or anything. All in all, not worth the hype.
