So, I've read the Ferguson coalition's proposed rules of engagement. And for the longest time I couldn't find the words. But now that I've had time to ponder, I kinda admire them.
They're a propaganda masterpiece.
Some are just rewritten snippets of current law. Quite a few are written just vaguely enough to sound completely reasonable while having enough latitude of interpretation to drive a semi through.
Taken as a whole, it's a licence to riot with impunity.
The authorities haven't responded to it (not surprised) and the press has been lackluster. But if the worst does ensue they'll likely be dredged up.
